Well, today was Earth day, as well as Kidsread 2nd birthday @ YWCA. there was a funfair at YWCA, which we, the volunteers, were invited to come along n have fun. (: i was suppose to make some games that kliff, the man-in-charge of the games in funfair, asked me. Shinhui n her colleagues decorated the room earlier on, thus we dun have to go n make preparations.

i was responsible to make some rolling thing where a ball is rolled down a slope with different holes n balls r used to roll the ball in. sorry that i dun have the pic, yea. that's all. we use toothpicks as blockers to make a route for every entry. Yea. that's all, veri simple yet easy game. (: all u need is manpower. (:

Royce n i met up @ tiong bahru mrt around 8.40 n we took 33 to YWCA. while waiting at the bus-stop, Shinhui was there as well, but she didn't realize both of us were there too, we try to keep low-profile so that she couldn't see us. i was back-facing her, so she cant see me. haha. A short journey yet interesting. (:

We were behind her all along n reach the location. Jen, Linus, Mousey, Jen's friend(Neddie) were there waiting for her arrival. We went in prepared wat we have to, n stuffs. Royce n i were fiddling with our game stall, as well as our model n soon around 9.30am, when all the volunteers cames, it started.

the kids had alot of fun till 11.30, n royce, linus n i were busy attending the kids at the games stall. Well, each kid has 10 tokens, our stalls has more than like 120 tokens, thus shown our popularity. (: tokens were nvr ending, we gave out all our prizes, including my pencil box(DREAM ON ^^) which royce insisted. XD

they sat in a circle for refreshments n were enjoying themselves when we had nth to do, playing with balloons, balloon-made swords n guns. Yea. then around 12 it was time for them to go home. So after they went home we had to clear their mess up. *sigh...* Royce left earlier on cos he has piano lessons later.

We, ourselves, were imature. Even we, started to play balloons as well. LOL. played "monkey" n it was so stupid, basically all "monkeys" catch the balloons. Half-an-hour later, we left YWCA cos Neddie had to go for tuition at around 1. we decided to have lunch together. Jen, Linus, Neddie, Jen's senior n I went to City Hall to have lunch @ Mac.

Neddie left before the lunch so left the 4 of us. We sat along the big armchair @ mac n then had our lunch. there was lots of talking, many random stuffs, like the 4 of us, were actually holing onto Nokia Xpressmusic™ phones! me n jen's senior were holding Nokia5610 Xpressmusic™, while linus's was Nokia5800 Xpressmusic™, n jen's was Nokia5700 Xpressmusic™. XD

Jen's senior went ahead to NAFA to meet his teacher, leaving the 3 of us. So we went back to Raffles City to take MRT home. On our way home, it was the same random stuffs, so i left the train earlier cos i lived at ToaPayoh.

It was really a tiring yet cheerful routine. When u woke up, u dun feel like going, but when u reached there, things change. U dun wana leave there either. (:

well yesterday was the 4I'09 BBQ party at East Coast Park. it was hilarious, SERIOUSLY. aiya. let the photos finish my post then. Have a look at them!

After almost all of the classmates have reach, we went to the beach to do stupid things. this one, was an idea of jordan, when he decided to contradict haozhi, the vegetarian. (: That chairman of 4I(above) was acting as a tree. XD

wow. my first CIP week of my entire life. (: i went around to ask for volunteering work to earn more CIP hours n i finally managed to ask successfully for one. (: JENNIFER, asked me if i'm interested in YWCA (Youth Women's C(sth) Association), she has been there for quite a while alr, so she invited me into the YWCA club for PEER TUTORING. (:

I  asked Royce if he's interested n then he said he would like to try it out, since he's also earning his CIP hours as well. So today morning me, royce n jennifer met at Tiong Bahru MRT to follow along jen since we duno how to go there. (: we took bus 33 to the building n then there wasn't anyone there, cos we r the first to reach there. n then royce was planning some BBQ thing, so he smsed the whole time while we r waiting for the KidzRead club-in-charge, xin hui, to reach YWCA. So jen was responsible for bringing the kids to YWCA for tutoring n then she asked if we wana follow or not.

We followed along the route to bring the kids up the minibus n then bring them to YWCA. the kids were like mostly malays n even more than chinese. they were quiet along the trip back to YWCA. they stare at us, we stare back at them, making senseless remarks. around 9.30am the tutoring starts n then we have to sit beside them to teach them things that they duno, n then observe them whether they r doing work or not... (: i got this P4 kid, called jinheng i thk, he's veri conservative with his ans, not letting me n mousey(another tutor) to see his ans, n then besdie him, sitiing on the same table was a quiet girl(forgot her name), really quiet, unless she ha sth she duno, then she will ask. haha.

From 9.30 to 11.15 was tutoring period, so we have to mark wat they done, n then explain their mistakes etc. royce took the K2s, while i took a P4 n a P6, which the girl n jinheng. jen came n help to explain the mistakes that the girl had done, while i was marking the jinheng's script. he's notorious, absolutely. after 11.15am, everyone gathered around to listen to xin hui's moral teaching etc., while jinheng was playing rubber band with me. he hates wearing his tag, which everyone supposed to wear on it. (: after the briefing of some housekeeping matters, they started to play games. i went to find jenga n play with jinheng, then royce was busy smsing la.

After that they had refreshments n then it was time to go home. the peer tutors were to remain behind for a meeting. so during the meeting, we introduced myself, n the i let royce introduce himself first, cos i couldn't thk of a reason to join this club, so i said the similar reason as royce. (: there were like 5 undergraduates, cliffton, a lady i dun remember her name, alice, liz, jeri. mousey is from outram park sec, weijie from SAF, two helpers, n xinhui. there were more, i guess. we sat in circles for meeting n then they were planning abt a funfair for KidzRead-club's 2nd birthday. so cliff had great ideas that were planned long ago n then shared with us. so me n royce chose the slackest job, games stores. n then me, the girl which i dun rememeber her name, royce, christine, a help-out n cliff were in charge of the games station. (:

Well, first day of such tutoring taught me lots of things. children are naive in the young, they dun really care what's happening outside the world. what they r learning is still confined under a box. when they reaches secondary level, there will be more things for them to explore. 

So this is what, my CIP does, every fortnight saturdays. (:

It's already march n wat did my class has achieved? NOTHING. teachers just kept on scolding us, wasting so much of our precious time in sch, except for the humanities teachers, cos we will be sleeping all along while, so the class is quiet negatively.

Weekends r totally useless for us now. What can we do? stay at home play com? no, that will make us addicted to games, like maple that lame game, which joel loh still playing with his comrades, n then others will thoguht of DOTA, budden hardly now cos all dun really play already. Study? no point, cos no one would. N when u study for O'levls now, u might forget all of them.

Whatever it is, i'm gonna scarpe through all circumstances n then take off when it's closing to O'levels.

one month has pass n wat am i doing? slacking. OMG how worse can i be now. every week we have comps n all that. everyday we will be leaving at 12, almost a day's lesson has been gone for this week's. WTH. how am i gonna concentrate. wateva it is, i'm gonna reflect abt it.

training is so boing these days, no one wants to come cos they r not playing anyway. just like me. (: haha. okok. i thk i'm going off to do sth else le. short n sweet post. BYE. (:
